Career History

John Mentz is the Executive Vice President, Construction, Alternative Markets, Design & Environmental. He joined Arch in 2002.

Mr. Mentz joined Arch after two years with Zurich North America Construction, where he held various senior management positions, including Executive Vice President of underwriting and field management for the $1.5 billion division.

With over 10 years of experience with St. Paul Companies serving in various senior management positions, including President of the Construction Division, Mr. Mentz also served as the business unit leader for the Risk Management/Large Account and Transportation Divisions. He began his insurance career with Chartwell Reinsurance Company in the actuarial field.
