Career History

Lyle S. Hitt, Executive Vice President, Professional Liability, brings over 18 years insurance underwriting experience to Arch, where he began in 2002 to help start the Professional Liability Unit.

Prior to Arch, Mr. Hitt worked at Zurich North America Specialties where he held various executive positions including Executive Vice President of the Professional Practices Group and Senior Vice President and Profit Center Executive of Professional Programs. In addition, he managed the design, implementation and launch of the Zurich Solicitor’s Indemnity Insurance Program in the United Kingdom.

Before working at Zurich, Mr. Hitt was a Senior Underwriter/Product Line Manager for the Accountant's Professional Liability at AIG and was an Accountant's Professional Liability Underwriter for Crum & Forster Managers Group. He began his career underwriting Miscellaneous Professional Liability at the Professional Managers, Inc.
