Career History

John Edack is Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Regional Officer. He is also the underwriting Executive Vice President of the Arch Wexford Excess Workers' Comp business unit.

In his capacity as Chief Regional Officer, he is responsible for the business and distribution strategies in all of Arch's U.S. regions: Northeast, Southeast, Central, and Western. This encompasses operations, underwriting, business development, and marketing. As the underwriting EVP of the Excess Workers' Comp unit, Mr. Edack led the integration of the newly acquired group in early 2008 and is responsible for the staff management and underwriting performance of this new division and capability for Arch.

With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Mr. Edack served in a variety of underwriting and management positions at ACE USA/Westchester Specialty Group, Industrial Underwriters, AIG and Chubb Corporation. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of the Casualty Division at ACE USA/Westchester Specialty Group with responsibility for managing the company's Excess and Primary Casualty lines of business. Prior to ACE, he worked at Industrial Underwriters as Vice President of the Excess Liability Division. Mr. Edack is frequently a source for industry media and in particular for his expertise in E & S lines.
